Apple CarPlay is designed to make it easier to use your phone without taking your focus off of the road. All of the main functions from your iPhone will be displayed on the screen. Phone calls, text messaging, apple calendar, music streaming, navigation, apple maps and audiobooks are examples of some of the iPhone functions that you can use with Apple CarPlay. The Apple CarPlay design looks a lot like your iPhone screen.
It is important to note that having the Apple CarPlay does not use any of your phone's data. However, you will use data when you start using the apps. There are some apps that use more data than others. Additionally, Apple CarPlay will need to be updated on a regular basis. The good news is that Apple CarPlay will automatically be updated when you update the iOS device.
