Road salt is an essential part of road safety during winter seasons. However, the amount of damage that the salt can cause to your car is unimaginable. To prevent salt corrosion, ensure that you wax your car regularly, more so just before winter starts. This way, you’re assured that the car is protected from rust and corrosion.

Try to keep your tires as clean as possible. Clean the tires thoroughly just before winter starts and make sure you continue cleaning them throughout the winter season.

Use a high-pressure hose pipe when washing your car to remove all traces of road salt. In addition to this, avoid using recycled or repurposed water as this water may contain some traces of salt that may lead to salt corrosion.

Don’t forget to wash your car during the day to give the car ample time to dry. Wash the car at least after every 10 days.
