When you own a vehicle, there are times when you are going to hear a squealing noise when the vehicle is running. This is generally caused by a belt that needs to be replaced, or one that is not sitting correctly in its track. Loud noises should be investigated, as large belts on your vehicle can snap.

Hoses become dry over time, and can start to leak toxic air or fluid. If you find a leak on your driveway, or smell exhaust in your car, it could be a problem with one of your hoses. The belts in your vehicle include the timing belt, which should be inspected and replaced if it appears ready to snap.

Bring your vehicle to our service center at MINI of Charleston if you are having a problem with any belts or hoses, and a member of our team will inspect and repair the vehicle as needed.
