The process of replacing a flat tire is not difficult, but it can be time-consuming. To help you out, we have created this step-by-step guide to walk you through the process.

1) Check your vehicle's owner manual for any specific instructions on how to change your tire. Most vehicles now come with an emergency kit that include the tools necessary to complete this task; if not, there are plenty of resources online that offer do-it-yourself guides like ours!
2) Find a safe location with good access and plenty of room where you can work without getting dirty or risking injury (e.g., in front of your garage).
3) Open the trunk and remove all the tools you will need. The spare tire should be located in the wheel well of the trunk, near the jack. If your vehicle is equipped with a "donut" spare wheel that doesn't require inflation, then skip to step #4.
4) Lift up on the plastic or carpeted lid of the wheel well and pull up on the plastic liner.
5) Find a safe place near or on your vehicle where you can store the flat tire while you work with the spare (e.g., against a wall on its side).
